Synopsis:

Thanks to their distinctive nature, Davit Kldiashvili’s immortal prose works have long captivated the interest of Georgian—and international—theatre. The Batumi Drama Theatre is, of course, no exception.

Director Giorgi Kashia, in collaboration with Valeri Otkhozoria, has created a stage adaptation of *Darispan's Plight*. A classic is a classic precisely because, in any time or era, it reveals the existing reality to us from a fresh perspective and with new eyes. Kldiashvili’s Darispan also travels from generation to generation, embodying a blend of the comic and the tragic, enduring pain, and timeless themes for reflection.
