Georgian Youth Olympic Festival
(Batumi, June 2-6, 2026)
The Georgian Youth Olympic Festival is an unprecedented multisport project nationwide, which is implemented on the initiative of the Georgian National Olympic Committee and with the support of the Government of Georgia.
Active supporters of the festival are the Ministry of Sports of Georgia, the Government of Adjara, the Ministry of Education and Sports of Adjara, Batumi City Hall.
The General Sponsor of the festival is Coca-Cola Bottlers Georgia - with two flagship brands - Coca-Cola and water “Mtis”.
The final competition stage of the festival will be hosted by Batumi on June 2-6, 2026. Competitions will be held in 17 sports: badminton (girls, boys), Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling (boys), basketball 3X3 (girls, boys), boxing (boys), table tennis (girls, boys), mini-football (boys), athletics (girls, boys), rhythmic gymnastics, taekwondo (girls, boys), volleyball (girls), Georgian wrestling, beach wrestling, tennis (girls, boys), swimming (girls, boys), judo (mixed team), handball (boys), among 14-17 year old athletes (approximately 1200 athletes), with the participation of representative teams from 12 regions of Georgia (Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Guria, Tbilisi, Imereti, Kakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli, Shida Kartli).
The ceremonial opening ceremony of the festival will be held on June 2, at the new football stadium in Batumi, the closing ceremony on June 5 - at Batumi Boulevard.
The Georgian Youth Olympic Festival represents the first multisport, large-scale competition, in which representative teams from the regions of Georgia will participate. The project aims to increase the mass participation in sports, identify talented youth, ensure active involvement of the regions, discover future Olympians, and promote sports, the Olympic movement and a healthy lifestyle.
The final stage of the festival was preceded by municipal and regional competitions, which were implemented with the active involvement and organization of the Georgian National Federation of Children and School Sports, the national sports federations of the sports participating in the festival, regional organizations of the Georgian National Olympic Committee, local self-government bodies and regional administrations.
At the Olympic Festival, winners will be identified in individual sports disciplines, while the main prize of the festival will be awarded to the region that shows the best result according to the total points score.
