About the play:
Giorgi Eristavi's play "Divorce" was written in 1849, and his first performance was held on January 14, 1850 in the hall of Tbilisi Gymnasium. This day is considered to be the date of the establishment of the Georgian Professional Theater.
The modern version of "Divorce" is directed by Davit Doiashvili. The play is of comedy genre and Georgian song and dance are widely used in it.
